The vampire facelift is a procedure that corrects all the four elements of a beautiful face making it youthful, and rejuvenating without actual surgery. The vampire facelift gets its name because it uses the patient’s own blood and extracts Platelet-rich plasma( PRP) from it, which is then mixed with different dermal fillers(like Juvederm ) to give the face a refreshed youthful look.
The dermal filler combined with the PRP corrects the shape and improves the texture.PRP improves the texture by increasing collagen production which in turn acts as a cushion. PRP also increases the regeneration of new blood vessels which adds glow to the skin.PRP also results in multiplication and enlargement of subdermal fat cells which results in smoothing and roundness of the face making it look younger and healthier
Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, is blood taken from a patient and spun in a centrifuge, concentrating the amount of platelets. The plasma is then re-injected into the site of injury or damage, assisting the body in repairing damage to muscles, tendons, ligaments, and tissue. PRP helps the body speed up its healing process. It has been used in orthopedics for joints and plastic surgery for scar healing.
Initial consultation: During the first appointment all your questions will be answered. The doctor will go over the entire procedure and explain in detail the pros and cons. We want to make sure you are completely informed about the Vampire facelift
Second Visit: The actual procedure is done on the second visit. Blood is drawn (just like a regular blood test) and then spun in a centrifugation system to separate the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from the other blood parts. First, the filler is injected and then the PRP IS injected with tiny needles into the face. Most patients describe it as painless. A numbing cream is applied to the face before the procedure.
