PRFM for the Penis: The Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®)

What is the P-Shot?

Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®) a method, protected by the US Patent & Trademark office of using blood-derived growth factors to rejuvenate the penis (also known as the P-Shot®).

How is the procedure done?

First you will meet with a trained Physician and have a detailed consultation and examination.

A local topical anesthetic (lidocaine cream) is applied to the penis for 25 minutes.

Then we draw blood from your arm (just like when you have a blood test done).

The blood is put in a machine called a centrifuge. This will be done in front of you. The machine separates the blood into different fractions and PRP is the top part.

The platelet rich plasma is then transferred into another tube where a few drops of calcium chloride solution are mixed that activate the platelets. Therefore platelets release growth factors into the liquid of the tube.

The PRP is then transferred into a syringe and injected into the penis. This distributes the growth factors in the proper way in the penile structures and nourishes them and helps regrowth.

1. How much growth can I expect ?

It may be a 10 to 20% increase in length and girth. It also may be an inch in length and in girth was seen in the first two patients in the first month. Girth came first (with the injection), then length (with continued growth).

2. Where is the Injection put?

Directly into the corpus cavernosum with a small needle, and into the head of the penis–in a way almost exactly as done with those who use injections for erectile dysfunction.

Because we use a numbing solution and a local anesthetic, we have never had patients complain of any pain during or following the procedure.

During all the years this procedure has been performed, scarring has never occurred. Its your own fluid that is going on and there is no injury. In fact, PRP is used to heal scars.

5. What is the success rate with P-shot?

It depends on a number of factors. If you are in good health and don’t have diabetes or vascular disease and don’t smoke more than 75% of men report satisfactory benefits.

6. When can I expect to see results?

Some patients experience results immediately. Most will see results within a few weeks with maximum benefits appreciated after three full months. It is also important to follow guidelines to use the pump after the procedure for the best results.
